Gilson HEY HO!
Sorry I haven't been doing anything recently. College work has been bogging me down as usual. Couple of things:
I am planning to get this place a subscription

But I only plan to do this when we get more members! Now, we need more people to join, and some people have been applying, thank you to them. I will try to sort that out as fast as possible. Please bare with me. When we get say, another half dozen members, I may start a contest for our ID, Avatar and some works of art. Sorry again.
To those who believe that this group is designed to stop freedom of speech, let us remember the words of Voltaire:
I may not agree with what you say, but I will fight tooth and nail for your right to say it!
Herr Gilson out!
What it's about:
This club is an all pro Sonic character and couple club. The reason why this club is created because there are too many anti-Sonic related clubs and it shows pointless hatred within the Sonic community. I mean it's okay to not like a character and/or a couple, but I just think it's just wrong to make a club about bashing what you don't like and be obssessed with it.
You can also not like a character or a couple, but just not join anti clubs. This is'nt about bashing anti-clubs either. You just have to disagree on the existence of the anti- Sonic character/couple clubs.

Proof that anti clubs are akin to flaming: members of Kill Sally Club have been flaming the Sally fan clubs a lot recently. Sad, isn't it?

But to be truly neutral- that's something a few people can say about themselves. Nothing should make a dedicated buddhist monk angry- nothing. You can capture him and torture him, but he won't get mad at you. He'll just feel sorry for you because you're accumulating bad karma. And he believes his suffering is caused by something bad he did in his previous lives.
But seriously, cartoon characters are created for our entertainment. What did you mean by "taking their love too far"? I don't see any problem about loving something unless it makes you hate something else because of you love. But hate is the real problem in those cases as well. Hatred is a negative emotion- you can argue about this, but I'm not in a philosophical mood now.
You also said that you draw the line of expressing your hate to killing a character in your pictures. You know, many people, especially the younger fans feel bad enough seeing their favourites humiliated. By telling a person you hate something/someone they love could be a lot worse than telling you hate the person.
If I hated- say- Star Wars (I don't, but if), and I'd walk past a movie theater with my friends and saw a guy dressed up as Chewbacca or Yoda, I wouldn't make fun of him. If I told my friends Star Wars is crap and the guy in the suit is a pathetic loser, so that the guy could hear me, I would be a jerk! I would say to my friends and to my friends only: "Hey, did you see that Star Wars fan? I think it's silly to dress up like that." After we walked past the theater.
Well, thanks for sharing you opinions with me. Let's all try to get along here.

The problem is when people take their love or hate too far, and you're right there. This tends to be used with hate more, but goes for both. A friend of mine had a problem with someone who loved Rouge too much since my friend dislikes her and hated Sally (for reasons that don't exist) and again she flamed my friend. I also think killing a character in drawings is stupid because it is unimaginative, humiliating a character is better.
Also hating characters for reasons that are absolutely stupid pisses me off. This usually happens with Sally because many of the people are just angry at her for disrupting Sonamy when SONIC AND AMY ARE DIFFERENT IN ARCHIE. I could name a few characters that are hated because they disrupt the 'dream pairing' of a show, especially female intelligent ones such as Kikyo in Inuyasha. Many Sally haters don't even read Archie, they just go by what the ringleaders say about her.
Saying that you should hate the creators instead of the characters is a bit stupid in my opinion. It's like saying 'love the creators instead of loving the character', again, I don't like Naoto Oshima, I like Tails. I hate Chris because he is a nasty, annoying, untrue to the games jerk in my opinion and I believe he is uneeded after watching all 52 episodes of that horrible cartoon.
My point is, hating a character is not stupid or lame or 'sad', it's opinion, and people usually have different levels of tolerance and neutrality. Just because you are neutral on things doesn't mean your opinion is any better, it's only better compared to the people who use their hate to pick on others.
I understand that cartoon and game characters can be annoying, but you shouldn't hate people who like them. Hate Sega or whoever created them if you have to hate something, but not other fans or the characters themselves- that's just sad in my opinion.
Let's talk about the characters then, shall we? Like Amy, for example. Clearly Sega has intentionally made her a bit annoying- because it's funnier that way. She's Sonic obsessed.
This doesn't bother me. What bothers me though is that in Sonic Battle Amy tries to lose weight by training like crazy and forcing Cream to train with her too. She's 12 and already skinny! This worries me a bit.
And later in the story, Emerl asks Cream why Amy wants to lose weight, and Cream tells him that Amy thinks Sonic will like her more when she's skinnier. Emerl doesn't understand this, and quite frankly I'm not sure if I understand it either. Kids might get wrong ideas from this game. But I don't blame Amy- she apparently believes skinny women are sexy. And no wonder; most of the fashion models are sickly skinny with hips like 13-year old boys, after all.
Sega should have told Amy that it has been proven scientifically that most men prefer curvy women (because they are more fertile and thus more likely to get pregnant and produce offsprings for them) and that fashion designers don't really appreciate the classic female figure, because they are supposedly mostly gay. (Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against gay fashion designers, I'm just saying I like womanly women) Amy, if you're too skinny, Sonic will think you're sick and won't have babies with you!
Sorry, this is one for the forums really...
And Rouge... Oh, long message... hmm. Well, let's just say that if you have a problem with Rouge's appearance, your real problem just might be looking at you from the mirror. Sorry, if that sounded a bit rude. I'm not Dr. Phil... Was that too offtopic?

This is basically an all pro-Sonic characters/couples club. I should have given it another name, though instead of anti-anti....
You're right though, people do need to keep their opinions to themselves. BUT they shouldn't tell the whole world that they hate something and be obsessed about bashing it. It's pointless.
I too believe in equality. I do not wish to argue with you.
I find what your club stands for extremely unfair, as I am a firm believer of equality. I don't like anticlubs myself--But it's their opinion. I find it unfair that a person can create a fanclub for people to gather and celebrate what they love, yet the people who are opposed are simply ment to keep their opinions to themself like it's an ugly sin. It should be both or neither, and both parties should simply avoid each other's clubs if it bothers them that much.
So, having said that, does this make me a hypocrit? Perhaps. But what I've said should give a little food for thought.
